BRITISH SUPERCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP SOLD TO EVENTS 22

Future West are pleased to announce the sale of it’s British Supercross Championship property to Events 22. The sale concludes an incredible 15 year run of staging top flight indoor events in the UK which saw the series visit all corners of the United Kingdom. The series has attracted the very best names in the sport of British motocross since the first event in 1997 at Sheffield Arena.

“We confirm that Matt Bates and his Events 22 company has purchased the British Supercross Championship property from Future West Promotions. Both Jamie and I believe that under Matt’s stewardship the Championship can only grow, we believe that Supercross is an integral part of the future of the sport and that Matt has the experience and the right attitude to take the Championship and the sport in general to a new and exciting level.” said John Hellam of Future West.

Future West would like to take this opportunity to thank the many individuals and companies who have made the last 15 years possible and so enjoyable. Future West will now concentrate it’s efforts on staging top flight Supercross and Arenacross events in North America where the company is based.

IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE BRITISH SUPERCROSS FINALE

Just days remain until the final round of the British Supercross Championships at the LG Arena this Saturday night February 18th and the entry list is stacked.

Neville Bradshaw as mentioned earlier this week will be looking to seal the deal in the British Supercross Lights class and British Supercross combined overall points standings but will have his work cut out for him with KTM’s defending Supercross Champ Tom Church who looks set to claim his second British Open title. In addition, Sheffield Supercross winner Buff/Wulfsport Honda rider Adam Chatfield has made his way home from America for the final round of the series. Tyco Suzuki superstar Stephen Sword will also round out the championship looking for his first win of the series after winning the final round at Liverpool last season.

Dave Thorpe’s Buildbase Honda star Nico Aubin is looking to steal Bradshaw’s thunder as the two Honda riders sit just a few points apart in both the Lights and overall standings. Maxxis Apico Suzuki boss Rob Hooper has enlisted Washington State’s Joey Ruminer services to put the Suzuki RMZ250 on top of the podium for the final round. Ruminer has been busy competing in many indoor events across the Pacific Northwest in America this winter and is excited for the opportunity provided by Hooper for the final round. “Crockstar” Gordon Crockard put in a great ride in Belfast and looks to improve this weekend. Jack Brunell who has struggled so far this year will be out for redemption on his Rabbit Racing No Fear Kawasaki. Rounding out the green team will be long time British Supercrosser Ryan Voase and Head to Head superstar Ashley Greedy on the LPE Kawasaki.

Neville Bradshaw has been competing in the British Supercross Championship for many years and always shows up with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. Bradshaw has quietly and un assumingly honed his Supercross skills over the years taking the number the #2 spot in the series a few years ago. Bradshaw hopes to capture the British Supercross Championship on Saturday February 18th at the LG Arena in Birmingham.

With the recent flood of top British MX stars competing in the British Supercross Championships the competition has not got any easier but that has not fazed the South African who is now within striking distance his first Supercross titles all the while against the best ever line up.
